It didn't bother me when I turned forty, or fifty, or sixty, but when your kid turns forty, man that's trauma.
So forty years ago this little guy came along to brighten up our lives. He was always a Vikings fan.
He was always safety conscious, even as a small child he always wore his helmet.
He was always hungry. Very hungry.
He was always thoughtful and looking for answers to the "Big Questions".
He always enjoyed nature, like birdwatching?
He always enjoyed video games and was right there at the beginning.
He excelled at school and got a good education.
He served his country.
He became a husband, although by the look on his face this may have been confusing, and slightly shocking.
He fulfilled his lfelong dream and became a police officer. First in Northfield and now in Blaine where he is able to arrest people he went to school with. Cool huh?
He became a father, twice and as with his other endeavors does this job well also. Anyway son, we wish you a very Happy Birthday and remember "Age Is Just A State of Mind", or some other such nonsense some supposed "Wise Man" once said.
We Love You
Mom and Dad
