Cows and surgery

Well, it's been awhile. Part of the reason is cause not much has gone on and part of the reason is because my power cord started smoking and sparking awhile ago. Anyway my new cord just got here today.
Here's some pics of the cows I took yesterday.
As you can see they have gotten pretty round since they got here.
 We are happy.
They like the hay. They bury their heads right in it.
We are going to butcher one of the cows soon, probably the brown one. We were going to do two, but I think we'll hold off until we see if the red one calves. We will fence more pasture next spring, but for now I think we will probably have to buy hay to get through till the grass gets tall in the spring.
On another note, I'm having surgery on my right elbow on Monday. (yes I'm right-handed) Before I went to "The Big Swamp" I built a shelter for the cows. Well my arm started hurting by the time I was done. Then I went South and worked and it got worse. I thought it was tendonitis like I had 30 years ago and would get better. It didn't. So I went to the doctor and had an MRI. If you look at the right side of the pic that's what it's supposed to look like. As you can see where the arrow is, there is a large white gap instead. That is where the tendon has torn away from the bone. Cool huh? So I have to wear a cast or brace or something and he said it would be a three month deal. Poor Gramma. I........am a lot of trouble.
