The cops were looking for me
Yeterday afternoon my cousin Bonnie called and said a guy called her looking for me. She didn't give him my number, but got his and told him she would call me. Good thinking. She said the guy told her he was a Deputy Sheriff from Sibley County. I called the guy back and he was a Deputy. They have had some reports of some kind criminal activity involving a truck and the reported license plate number matched the plate on the plow truck we bought in March. He wouldn't say what the activity was, but said the person reporting it insisted the plate number was correct. He said it was a light blue 1995 Ford pickup. My truck is blue, but not light blue. He also said there was supposed to be a Chevy emblem in the back window. Don't have one. I explained to him that the truck has never been off the farm since we bought it. Well he said it must be some mistake and said if he found out more he would let me know. About 9:45 last night a car came up the drive and it was a Kanabec County Sheriff's Deputy. (Good thing we were watching a movie and hadn't gone to bed yet) So he said they called from Sibley County and asked them to check out my truck. (Neither the KC Deputy or myself knew for sure where Sibley County was. Had to look it up) Anyway he was nice and said it was probably a mistake and that it happens a lot. He also said that with the new style plates it's easier to temporarily change the letters and numbers. I showed him that the truck doesn't even start right now and he could see that it's been sitting for awhile. I guess I better make sure to behave myself in case they're watching me. Weird.

Thought I posted a comment on here - but don't see it. I was wondering if maybe it was Frank when he was still around and wondering if the crime was assault.
ReplyDeleteHe never learned to drive.
