Heidi's Birthday

Today is Heidi's birthday. Four years old. Wow!
If only they could stay this small huh?
Her and Mick on the bench by the door. Almost the same size.
Here she is on the same bench now. Finally grew into her ears. Happy Birthday girl!

Christmas

Christmas was good this year, as usual. Ted, Sue and the kids came for Christmas Eve dinner. Gramma made all the good stuff. Swedish meatballs, Swedish sausage, roasted potatoes, corn, lasagna, garlic bread. We forgot to put out the lefsa, so I guess I'll have to eat that myself. Darn!
The kids had some presents to open.
 Mary got pink boots.
Russ got a micro race set.
They brought some goodies to eat including  Gramma and Grampa ginger bread people. Unfortunately later that night Gramma lost her head. No pics, too gruesome. On Christmas Day we went to Jess' and spent some time with her. We got to meet Lowell finally. I was on my best behavior so as to not scare him away and it went really well. Nice guy. Of course, I'll be watching.
Last night when I went to put the chickens to bed I found my little Lucy frozen in the horse pen. :-( She has really been showing signs of old age lately, so I knew it would be coming, but it's still sad for me. I guess some chickens can live to 20 years and some only a few. Sad, but that's life on the farm.  Bye.

December On The Farm

Well we got a pretty good snow dump this month so far.
Ended up with ten inches.

The Weber turned it self into a cone-head.
The dogs are huddling together waiting for Gramma to sit with them and keep them warm.
I strung some lights on the gazebo frame to try and make the house more festive.

Christmas came a little early for me and Gramma. New Macbook Pro and new boots for Gramma.
New golf clubs for me. No doubt once I begin to use them and get comfy with them I will be asked to join the "Senior Tour". HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Anyway that's all from "The Funny Farm". Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SALLY!

Well, it's my big sister's birthday today. I'm not gonna say how old she is, but she's older than me and I'm older than dirt. So....... just sayin'.
Here she is with her Mom and big sister and dog when they were gypsies and lived in a trailer. This was BS, (before Steve) so I'm not sure what kind of con games they were running, but I guess it wasn't that profitable because they stopped by the time I was born.
Here she is in the yard at our little house in Blaine. Don't know who's bike it is, but it looks too big for her.
Here she is in grade school. Isn't she cute? She was smart too and also the most well behaved and nicest kid in the family. That's including all our cousins too.
Here she is today. I think she's aged really well. Don't you?

Happy birthday Sal. We love you.

Be good, Be safe, Stay in your own lane.

November and Another Birthday

Well, on Thanksgiving we went to Ted and Sue's and while there we celebrated birthdays. There is a lot of November birthdays. For some unknown reason I had it in my head that Mary's birthday was today. WRONG! It was Friday. Probably early onset Al's Hammer. Why Al wants everyone to have his hammer, I don't know. I definetly prefer my own hammer and I have tried many different kinds over the years. Anyway, sorry little girl, it won't happen again. Probably. I hope.
Here I am holding her at 2 weeks old. Wow.
Here she is 9 years later. WOW! It goes so fast. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARY! We love you.
For those of you who didn't really believe me when I said one of our chickens ate a mouse, here you go. Sorry if it's blurry. You try to take a picture of a running chicken with a mouse in it's mouth and let me know how it comes out.

These two pics are for my Grandsons in Louisana. Boys, this is what a buzz cut looks like. Did it myself this morning. Hasta luego.

Happy Birthday Jess and Russell

Happy Birthday Kids!
Jess has always had issues with foxes.
What a cutie.
She has always loved horses.
She has always liked to fish.

She still likes to fish and sometimes she even catches something. I'm not sure she could feed herself this way however. Happy Birthday Honey.

Russell T. Berg. AKA The Running Man.
 They sure grow fast.
This year he came up hunting with Dad one day. I think he liked it. Happy birthday Russ.
